'Extra Hot Great': Raving About 'The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial'
William Friedkin died recently. His final film, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, is on Showtime and Paramount+. I was very happy to be on Extra Hot Great to sing the movie's praises. (We also talked about Scrubs, Julianne Moore, Netflix stand-up specials and Robert Altman.) Check it out down below.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: John Wick, Zach Braff and 'Tori and Lokita'
We don't see eye-to-eye on John Wick: Chapter 4, but we agree A Good Person is the pits. And then we dig into the latest from the Dardenne brothers. Check out the whole episode down below.

'A Good Person' Review
Zach Braff hasn't made a movie in six years. Some people wish it had been longer. I liked his first two films, so I walked into A Good Person with an open mind. But this thing is a real debacle. My review is up at Screen International.

'Cheaper by the Dozen' Review
Yup, there's a new version of Cheaper by the Dozen, now out on Disney+. I think it's actively terrible. I explain why over at Screen International.

'Going in Style' Review
You know what you're gonna get from Going in Style, but I still wish it was a little more inspired. Who doesn't love Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin? Well, their relaxed charm is all this heist comedy has going for it. My review is up at Screen International.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: Talking 'Almost Famous' and 'Garden State'
On Episode No. 32 of the Grierson & Leitch podcast, Will and I look back at the summer movie season. We also look ahead to next summer. (Uh, oh.) And then there's this week's Reboot section. We dig into two music-heavy, much beloved coming-of-age films: Almost Famous and Garden State. It's all happening. You can hear the whole thing here.

SAG Foundation: My Conversation With Zach Braff
I had a fine time speaking with Zach Braff, the writer, director and star of Wish I Was Here, which was easily the most divisive film at Sundance this year. (I found it uneven but quite moving. A friend and colleague sitting next to me loathed it.)
In this 45-minute conversation, we talked about Braff's experience with the film since that festival premiere. We also chatted about the courage required to be sincere, the whirlwind of starring in the Broadway musical adaptation of Bullets Over Broadway and what it's like to write a screenplay with your brother.

Sundance 2014: 'Wish I Was Here' Review
The above image probably tells you everything you need to know about Wish I Was Here. The new film from actor Zach Braff, who last made Garden State, is too pleased with its own plucky individuality. And yet, I was also rather moved by it. Was I also irritated from time to time? Oh, yes. My very, very mixed review of Wish I Was Here is up at Screen International.
