The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'The Drama,' 'Outcome' and 'Exit 8'
After a week off, we're back! And we're here to talk about how terrible Outcome is. Also, we differ on The Drama and get lost in Exit 8. You can hear all our thoughts down below.

'Outcome' Review
So much talent in front of and behind the camera is wasted in Outcome, Jonah Hill's unfunny dark comedy about cancel culture in Hollywood. I dissect the corpse over at the A.V. Club.

'Good Fortune' Review
Aziz Ansari has made his feature directorial debut. It's a modern-day twist on It's a Wonderful Life about a hapless, well-meaning angel (Keanu Reeves) who tries to improve the life of a struggling Angeleno (Ansari). For the A.V. Club, I reviewed Good Fortune.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'The Phoenician Scheme,' 'Ballerina' and 'All That Money Can Buy'
On this week's episode, well, we're a little let down by both of the new movies we review. So it's good we went back to 1941's All That Money Can Buy, which is probably better known as The Devil and Daniel Webster. Check out all our wise insights down below.

'Ballerina' Review
Ballerina convinced me Ana de Armas has the goods as an action star. I just wish she was in a better movie. My review is up at Screen International.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: John Wick, Zach Braff and 'Tori and Lokita'
We don't see eye-to-eye on John Wick: Chapter 4, but we agree A Good Person is the pits. And then we dig into the latest from the Dardenne brothers. Check out the whole episode down below.

SXSW 2023: 'John Wick: Chapter 4' Review
Chapter 4 is the biggest, most epic installment yet in the John Wick series. But I don't think it's the best. My review is up at Screen International.

'DC League of Super-Pets' Review
What if Superman had a dog who also had superpowers? And was voiced by Dwayne Johnson? That's the pretty adorable conceit behind DC League of Super-Pets. I wish the movie was funnier, though. My review is up at Screen International.

Remember When Everybody Thought Keanu Reeves Was a Bad Actor?
Not that long ago, that was the prevailing thought: This Ted guy is kind of a lightweight. But, somewhere along the way, the world came to appreciate Keanu Reeves. How did it happen? I did a little digging for MEL.

Why I Didn't Like 'The Matrix Resurrections'
For MEL, I got into my chief issue with the new Matrix movie: namely, that I think it focuses on worldbuilding to the detriment of the love story it's trying to tell. My essay is here.

The World That 'The Matrix' Made
For "This Week in Genre History," I went back to 1999, when a movie called The Matrix changed, well, everything. I still remember seeing this film during its opening weekend. For SyFy, I look back at what the Wachowskis wrought.

Going Back in Time With 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure'
It has been 32 years since the first film came out. Its abiding lesson: "Be excellent to each other." My appreciation is up at SyFy.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: The Week We Went Back to the Movie Theater
Will and I both ended up seeing The New Mutants on the big screen, but in very different ways. We talked about that on this past week's episode. We also reviewed Bill & Ted Face the Music and The Personal History of David Copperfield. Then I spoke briefly about Get Duked! and Class Action Park. The episode is down below.

Bill & Ted and Rock 'n' Roll
Bill and Ted are all grown up in Bill & Ted Face the Music, but their musical taste hasn't changed. I wrote about that for MEL.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'The Lovebirds,' 'The Trip to Greece' and 'Point Break'
Two new movies this week, folks. We both disliked The Lovebirds and enjoyed The Trip to Greece. Then, we head back to 1991 to talk about Kathryn Bigelow's Point Break. Surf's up, hang 10, etc.
