Have you ever wondered what Bigfoot's life is like? The Zellner brothers have crafted a bizarre comedy about a quartet of Sasquatches that reside in the forest. Who knew it would be one of the most poignant films of this year's Sundance? My review is up at Screen International.

Sundance 2020: 'Zola' Is the First Twitter-Inspired Crime Drama

Going into this year's Sundance, Zola was one of the most highly-anticipated films. Adapted from a 2015 tweet storm about one woman's strange odyssey from Detroit to Tampa, which involved prostitution and suicide attempts, the movie very much speaks to our social-media age. But is it any good? I went into Zola's history and the actual film for MEL.

Sundance 2019: 'The Lodge' Review

The Lodge is probably the most divisive film of this year's festival. Put me in the "huge, huge fan" category. Riley Keough is terrific in this deeply unsettling horror movie. My review is up at Screen International.

'The Girlfriend Experience' Review

Based on Steven Soderbergh's 2009 film, Starz's series The Girlfriend Experience starts off as an entertaining, stylish look at a driven law student (payed by Riley Keough) who gets seduced by the world of upscale prostitution. Then, something changes, and I think the show gets even better. I reviewed the series for The Wrap.
