Toronto 2025: 'Sacrifice' Review
I was pretty lukewarm on Romain Gavras' last film, Athena, but I was hoping to like his new political satire. Unfortunately, I had some of the same issues with Sacrifice. You can read my review here.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: '28 Years Later' and 'The Life of Chuck'
Because we unexpectedly weren't able to do an episode last week, this episode is super-sized, featuring reviews of four new movies. Going into the show, I wondered how many of the films we'd disagree on, and it turns out we saw two of them very differently. You can check out our thoughts on 28 Years Later, Materialists, Elio and The Life of Chuck down below.

'Red One' Review
In Red One, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans play, respectively, an elite security officer and a cynical tracker who have to find Santa Claus, who's been kidnapped. Will they save the day? And is the movie any good? My review is live at Screen International.

Toronto 2023: 'Pain Hustlers' Review
Pain Hustlers is inspired by actual events, telling the story of a small-time Florida pharmaceutical company that got rich peddling a more effective painkiller. Then things went south. You can read my review here.

Enough With the Dumb Comedy Cameos
Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Ryan Reynolds cameo in #Ghosted
— Mark Ridge Lobo (@MR___LOBO) April 21, 2023
WE WON! pic.twitter.com/nRxmN6516L
You may have heard that Ghosted has a few celebrity cameos in it. They're so dumb, and I'm sick of the trend. I wrote about it for Cracked.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'Nope,' 'The Gray Man' and 'Where the Crawdads Sing'
Somehow, I completely forgot to post the recent episodes of the podcast on here. Whoops! So let me rectify that by first putting this one up. I liked Jordan Peele's latest a little more than Will did, but we're pretty much aligned on The Gray Man and Where the Crawdads Sing. You can hear our chat down below.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'Lightyear,' 'Spiderhead,' 'Leo Grande' and 'Cha Cha Real Smooth'
So many movies to go through on this week's episode! We've got animated blockbusters, quirky thrillers, a thoughtful character drama about sex, and Cooper Raiff's followup to Shithouse. Hear the whole thing down below.

'Lightyear' Review
Lightyear is so aggressively average that I spent most of the film's runtime arguing with it. "Why aren't you better? Why aren't you more interesting? When is this going to get more exciting?" (The robot cat is adorable, though.) My review is up at Screen International.
