In the mid-1980s, two inexperienced British screenwriters got their foot in the door in Hollywood. They met with Ivan Reitman, who told them he wanted to make a comedy with Arnold Schwarznegger. The rest is history. For Cracked, I interviewed some of the creative team behind Twins. Hope you enjoy.

Why Arnold Schwarzenegger's Fake Movie 'Zeus' Makes Me Sad
This week, Arnold Schwarzenegger posted a poster for a movie he's supposedly going to be in, Zeus. Immediately, most of us knew it was a fake, and probably a teaser for an upcoming Super Bowl ad. The whole thing was kinda silly, of course, but it also made me a bit melancholy. I explain why here.

What Is a "Male Savior" Movie?
You know those films where a guy has to protect someone: a boy, a pop star, the president? Well, I'm dubbing them "male savior" movies, and with a new one coming out this weekend (Sweet Girl), I thought I'd do a rundown of the many variations of the trope. Check it out over at MEL.

The Sequels That Destroyed Their Franchises
Hollywood will just keep pumping out sequels until audiences have had enough. For this week's edition of my MEL Ultimate Summer Movie Guide, I paid tribute to the franchise installments that turned viewers off, sometimes for good. Hope you enjoy.

The Summer of Spielberg vs. Schwarzenegger
It was June 1993: Jurassic Park squared off against Last Action Hero. Years later, we're still obsessed with that showdown. I explain why over at MEL.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'The Irishman,' 'The King' and 'Motherless Brooklyn'
Sure, we review Terminator: Dark Fate on this week's podcast, but it's actually more interesting to dig into The King and Motherless Brooklyn. But the majority of the show is given over to The Irishman, for obvious reasons. Hear the whole thing down below.
The Best Terminators (Who Weren't Arnold)
The Terminator franchise was built around the steely presence of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a killer robot. But when Arnold quit acting to pursue politics, the series had to come up with workarounds. For this week's Debate Club, we look back at the other Terminators. (But let's be honest: The best of the bunch was the one who tangled with the T-800 in T2.) Here's our list.

'Terminator: Dark Fate' Review
Dark Fate is the sixth Terminator film. It can't live up to the legacy of the terrific first two installments, but all in all, it's pretty decent. My review is up at Screen International.

Movies and Time Travel
Put aside Back the the Future for a second: What's the best film about time travel? That's the topic of this week's Debate Club.

Which 1990s Movies Ought to Be Remade?
I have a simple rule for how to approach a remake: Pick a film with a good premise but lousy execution. That way, you can turn a promising-but-mediocre movie into a legitimately good movie. For Debate Club, we chose five worthy candidates from the 1990s. Check 'em out.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: Your Mailbag Questions, 'Before Sunrise' and 'Kindergarten Cop'
It's a slow movie week, so we decided to answer a bunch of listener questions. Lots of good stuff in there. Then, for our Reboot segment, we look back at Before Sunrise (still amazing) and Kindergarten Cop (better than expected). Check out the whole thing down below.

'Terminator Genisys' Review
Ever since Arnold Schwarzenegger ended his stint as governor of California, his fans have been counting down the minutes until he made a new Terminator movie. Terminator Genisys isn't your typical sequel/reboot, however: It rewrites/revises the storyline from the original 1984 Terminator. Does it work? Better than it should. Is it a good movie? Close, but not close enough. I reviewed the film for Screen International.

'Maggie' Review
The best Arnold Schwarzenegger movie in many a moon is a zombie drama that doubles as a disease-of-the-week flick -- not to mention a father-daughter character study. It's Maggie, a low-budget indie that I hope doesn't sink like a stone. I make the case for this affecting film over at Deadspin.

'Escape Plan' Review
Sylvester Stallone! Arnold Schwarzenegger! Escape Plan! Hell yeah! Well, actually, more like "Eh meh." I reviewed the film for Deadspin.
