A colleague noted that Remains of the Wind is as arthouse-y a title as you could possibly imagine. That's true, but the film isn't some sweeping romantic period drama. Instead, it's the story of a village in Portugal that conducts a strange annual ritual, and how those who were part of the ceremony 25 years ago are coping in the present day.
