Private Life tells the story of a married couple (played by Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn) who are trying to have a baby. That's the setup for a broad comedy, but writer-director Tamara Jenkins uses the premise for something far realer and more insightful about marriage. But, yes, it's also really funny.
