A perfectly fine coming-of-age tale never escapes conventionality in Sleeping Giant, the first feature from Canadian director Andrew Cividino. The movie is about three teen boys who hang out over one lazy summer. But there's darkness coming just down the road -- too bad it plays out in rather predictable fashion.
