Kevin Kline's Varied 1997
As part of MEL's yearlong look back at 1997, I wrote about two pretty pivotal performances the Oscar-winner gave in movies that came out a week apart: In & Out and The Ice Storm. Read on here.

Toronto 2021: 'The Starling' Review
I want Melissa McCarthy to make more dramas. I don't want her to make any more movies with director Theodore Melfi. Here's my review of The Starling.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: Mark Lisanti and 'A Fish Called Wanda'
So happy to have our old Yahoo editor Mark Lisanti as a special guest for this week's episode. He and Will discuss Kong: Skull Island and Personal Shopper. But fear not: You do get some Tim as well. Will and I take a look back at A Fish Called Wanda. I can't remember the last time I heard Will laugh as hard as he does talking about Kevin Kline in that movie. Check it out.

'Last Vegas' Review
"My mom really wants to see Last Vegas," a friend told me.
"I think a lot of people's moms will want to see it," I responded.
I like all four actors, and I like the idea of Last Vegas. I just didn't like Last Vegas too much, which I get into in my Deadspin review.

Toronto 2013: 'The Last of Robin Hood' Review
Who doesn't love Kevin Kline? His occasional appearance on Bob's Burgers is one of that show's consistent highlights, although his movies of late have been rather hit-or-miss. His latest, The Last of Robin Hood, is decidedly mixed, looking at the final years of Errol Flynn. My review is up at Screen International.
