Anthology films are often a mixed bag, but the seven shorts included in The Year of the Everlasting Storm are uniformly strong. It helps when you have directors like Jafar Panahi, Laura Poitras, David Lowery and Apichatpong Weerasethakul involved. Each of them tackles the pandemic in their own inimitable ways.
