While we wait for
Spectre, why not give
Kingsman: The Secret Service a chance? Well, because it's not very good. This spy thriller-comedy starring Colin Firth likes to pat itself on the back for how clever it is. (This is the kind of movie that has its characters mention how movie-like their situation is, only to then assert that this isn't a movie.) Sure, the action sequences are pretty superb but, honestly, who cares? It's totally soulless without being witty about it. I reviewed
Kingsman for
Deadspin.
