You may remember that a few years ago I interviewed the Polish brothers after they took issue with a post I wrote about the direction of their career. I very much enjoyed our conversation and had been curious about their forthcoming work, Big Sur, which is based on the Jack Kerouac novel. I've seen the film now, and it's very much a continuation of the moody, melancholy aesthetic they brought to their last film, For Lovers Only.
