I was back on Screen International's podcast, hosted by the delightful Wendy Mitchell, to discuss three movies that I feel were overlooked at Cannes. (In a separate segment, my colleague Wendy Ide offers three different picks from the festival.) You can check out our recommendations below.

The Best Films About America
Rolling Stone put together a list of movies that have encapsulated America over the last 50 years. I didn't have a say in the rankings, but I was asked to write the capsules for Selma, Moonlight, O.J.: Made in America, Safe, Taxi Driver and Wendy and Lucy. A pleasure to write about such mighty films. The whole list is here.

Some Thoughts on 'A Wrinkle in Time'

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'The Boondock Saints' Is Terrible
On this week's episode, we review A Wrinkle in Time, Gringo and The Death of Stalin. (I promise to catch up with Thoroughbreds soon.) And in our Reboot segment, we look back at The Boondock Saints, which I never saw back in the day. I did, however, live through the time and place of its inception. You can hear the whole thing down below.
