The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: Will on 'Caught Stealing,' Me Recapping Venice
I'm a few days behind on this, but Will and I sorta did separate solo acts for the podcast. Will reviewed Caught Stealing. And I sent in an audio note right after I landed in Toronto to talk about the Venice Film Festival and preview TIFF. It's a shorter episode, but we'll be back to full strength this weekend. Enjoy!

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: Ari Aster, Eva Victor and 'The Muppet Movie'
Will was in town but we did not record this episode in person. We talked about that, as well as reviewed two A24 films: Eddington and Sorry, Baby. Then, in our Reboot segment, we looked back at 1979's The Muppet Movie. Check it out down below.

Cannes 2025: 'Eddington' Review
Ari Aster was three-for-three before Eddington. But I think this new film is a misfire. I explain why over at Screen International.

The Grierson & Leitch Podcast: 'The Bikeriders,' 'Fancy Dance' and 'Colonel Blimp'
On this week's episode, we review two new movies, one of which we differ on. But the real highlight is our conversation around 1943's The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, which is wonderful. Hear the whole thing down below.

Katie Walsh and I were on KCRW yesterday reviewing L.A.'s new releases, including The Bikeriders, Kinds of Kindness and Fancy Dance. We also talked about the action-comedy starring June Squibb, who gets her Tom Cruise on in Thelma. Check us out down below.

'Press Play With Madeleine Brand': Talking About 'Dune: Part Two,' 'Shayda' and 'Problemista'
Very happy to be back on KCRW talking new movies. I was joined by Alison Willmore to review the Dune sequel, Adam Sandler's sci-fi drama Spaceman, the underwhelming Problemista and the moving Shayda. Hear our segment down below.

'Dune: Part Two' Review
I'm not sure I love Part Two as much as I loved Part One. But the new Dune is sure something. My review is up at Screen International.

My Interview With Baz Luhrmann and Austin Butler, the Team Behind 'Elvis'
Early in the making of Elvis in Australia, production shut down because Tom Hanks got Covid. It was an uncertain time, for lots of reasons, and it wasn't clear if the film would ever get finished. For Screen International, I spoke with director Baz Luhrmann and star Austin Butler to find out how they coped with those anxious pandemic months. Our conversation is here.
