When I interviewed Viola Davis for Widows, she talked about how hard it was to train to carry those big, heavy bags for that film's heist scenes. I can't even imagine the workout that went into preparing for The Woman King, where she plays the leader of a formidable all-woman army in 1820s West Africa.
