Expect everybody to start talking about a Michelle Pfeiffer comeback. She's terrific in Where Is Kyra?, a small-scale drama about a woman drowning in debt and depression in New York City after the death of her mother. Also, this film is flat-out gorgeous: Director Andrew Dosunmu and cinematographer Bradford Young (who was just nominated for Arrival) give the film a rich, shadowy hue.
