One of the final pieces of the Oscar puzzle, The Revenant, was shown to critics at the end of last month. My review is now up on Screen International. What did I think of the film? Well, like with a lot of Iñárritua's stuff, I am enormously impressed by the craft but a little iffy on the content -- and the showiness can sure be a drag.
